Lake of the Woods is a beautiful area filled with the outstanding fishing that every fisherman dreams of finding. The many islands create infinite opportunities to fish on rock reefs, sandy beaches, weedy bays or steep shorelines, surrounded by wooded areas and sparkling waters. Duck Bay Lodge is perfectly situated on Hay Island in the center of Sabaskong Bay. Great fishing is nearby; there is no need to go far to get to the best spots!

Because our expert guides show you the best spots for hooking specific types of fish, our setting can be the place where you get to finally catch the big one, whether you’re looking for northern pike or muskie. Our guests also catch everything from walleye and smallmouth bass to crappie and lake trout.

Duck Bay Lodge stands out among Ontario fishing lodges thanks to its spectacular natural beauty and remote island location. Our American Plan resort features six modern lakefront cabins with private baths, new boats and motors, all meals and recreational activities. Hearty home-cooked meals are prepared with care and served family style in the main lodge overlooking the bay. The lodge has a striking granite fireplace, gleaming hardwood floors and magnificent lake views. A wide variety of specialties are served such as baby back ribs with home-made barbeque sauce, chocolate bourbon pecan pie and fresh baked breads.

With all the time you’ll be spending on the water, you’ll want your boat to be exceptional. At Duck Bay, you’ll enjoy top-notch boating equipments or the option to bring your own boat, if you prefer. Our boat packages include Lund 18-foot Outfitters with 4-stroke 40 and 50 h.p. motors. Flat, carpeted floors, bow-mount Minn-Kota trolling motors, Lowrance depth finders and Lund Pro-Guide seats round out the package. Personal flotation devices, minnow buckets, and landing nets are all included, as is all fuel.

If you prefer just a quiet get-away, let our remote island location rejuvenate your spirit. Get back to nature and fill your days with hiking, canoeing, bird watching, photography or just plain relaxing. Other amenities include: guide service, recreation hall with a library, satellite television, cards and games, sauna, canoeing and meeting room available for small corporate groups.
